NEW LabSim A+ Certification Training Suite

2009 Edition in Development

We’re very excited to announce that as part of our new A+ course releases, the LabSim labs are being greatly enhanced.

We know that a major reason for using LabSim is the hands-on practical experience that the labs provide. As such, we are always working on ways to continually improve them. We’re confident that you’ll be very pleased with the new labs in the upcoming A+ courses.

The 2 new A+ certification training courses:

A+ Essentials (Exam 220-701) (Now released!)
Measures the necessary competencies of an entry-level IT professional. It tests for the fundamentals of computer technology, networking and security, as well as the communication skills and professionalism now required of all entry-level IT professionals.

A+ Practical Application (Exam 220-702) (To be released end of 1st quarter, 2010)
An extension of the knowledge and skills identified in CompTIA A+ Essentials, with more of a "hands-on" orientation focused on scenarios in which troubleshooting and tools must be applied to resolve problems.

Why a New Exam?
The CompTIA A+ exam was last updated in 2006. Releasing a new version of the exam ensures that CompTIA A+ reflects changes in technologies and covers the latest skills needed by IT technicians. Additionally, CompTIA A+ is ISO 17024 accredited and must be reviewed and updated every three years to maintain accreditation.
